La Jolla
The beach starts just south of a sea-carved bluff separating it from Marine St. Beach and
extends south to Big
Rock Reef. Big Rock Reef sees good body-boarding and on bigger days a nice break for surfers.
WindanSea gets
very crowded in the summer with local traffic and finding a place on the sand can be a
challenge. There are
exposed rock areas where one can set up chairs or towels that suffice just as well.
